For the first time, a Chrome Small Ambassadeur was borne. Although these beauties weight about 65 grams heavier than her cousins and great care is to be taken to maintain the shine on her Sideplates, these beauties were still an eye-turner and very sort after.Gold ABU Emblem; an icon for all CI model CI model (produced by ABU for Independent Dealers) in 1996 and 1997.Produced in 1977.
One of the first model produced under the distribution of Mamiya. With huge quantities produced, these Ambassadeur 2500C IAR were also considered easier to find as compared to her cousins.Produced in 1995.Minor change in some parts with the revision indicated in this schematic diagram.
The Prototype Ambasdadeur 2500C: This is a black-framed, TiN-treated line guide and grooved Ambassadeur 2500C deep-gray sideplate with clear, protective lacquer applied through electrophoresis.
Produced between 2003 and 2004 with the 1997 black Ambassadeur 2500CI frames, this unique piece had a foot number which was used exclusively for the Gray Ambassadeur 2500CIAR instead of the common 070007 foot number which was used extensively for 7 other Ambassadeur 2500CI models.
No much was known on how these prototype found its way to the back room of the ABU shop but what we do know is that a local collector managed to negotiate its release from the shop sometime in 2008, before another acquired it in a swap thereafter.
How many of these beauties were produced remained a mystery, though I have only personally saw 2 of these throughout my collection years; with one in Japan and the other one featured here.

This is the first Red Nostalgia Ambassadeur 1500C schematic diagram printed with numerous error. The first error is the Headplate (#24471) which should be #24452. The second is the Handle (#24435) which belongs to the Green Nostalgia Ambassadeur 2500C and should be #24433. The third is the Star Wheel (#24440) which likewise belongs to the Green Nostalgia Ambassadeur 2500C and should be #24438).While the 2nd schematic revision was printed shortly after, error on the Star Wheel remains.
